Information on child sex offender disclosure applications released
According to figures, since the launch of Sarah’s Law in April 2011, police forces in England, Wales and Scotland have received 4,754 applications to identify child sex offenders and made 708 disclosures, meaning 1 in 7 applications have been successful. Source: Guardian 23 December 2013

All serious case review reports to be made available online
The NSPCC and the Association of Independent Local Safeguarding Children Board Chairs have agreed that all serious case review reports will be collated and made available on the NSPCC website. Currently, serious case reviews are published on individual local safeguarding children board (LSCB) websites and are not made available centrally.
