Safeguarding for local authority peripheral services

This course is suitable for anyone working for services that may bring them into contact with the public such as waste management, housing repair, and gardening services.

By the end of the course, those attending will be aware of:

  • Where they fit into safeguarding
  • Who in their local area might be at risk or in need
  • Signs and indicators of abuse and neglect
  • Who they can contact if they are worried about a child or family

“The course was extremely well devised and prepared.

“My confidence in making referrals has definitely increased and I feel I am in a better position to effectively engage with the child protection process.
